BESS Performance Analyst

m/w/d, Solothurn

As a BESS Performance Analyst, you will develop the concept, thrive the implementation and later own the operative performance monitoring framework.
Based on market research and industry-best practice, you will propose and drive the rollout and implementation of the framework.
You will identify and analyze key metrics and provide insights that maximize the efficiency, performance and reliability of the future BESS asset portfolio.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop an overarching and scalable performance monitoring concept for BESS
  • Identify and prioritize the critical performance indicators (KPI)s and relevant stakeholders
  • Lead project specific implementation and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct market-research on tools and industry best practice, thrive implementation of performance monitoring systems and relevant stakeholder reporting
  • Design early warning systems to detect and address potential performance issues
  • Ensure warranty compliance by monitoring system operations.
  • Work closely with technical and legal teams, project and asset management

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field
  • Proven track record in energy systems performance analysis (5+ years), ideally in the field of utility scale BESS
  • Strong skills in data analysis (Python, SQL, Excel) and SCADA systems
  • In-depth understanding of BESS technology, including lithium-ion batteries, power electronics, and thermal management
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (German/French) are a plus
