Fun Office Break Activities

11. July 2018

Did you know that a 30 second break can increase your productivity up to 13%? Or that a 15 second break from staring at your computer screen every ten minutes can reduce your fatigue 50%? It's important to take breaks during your day at the office. Before you think about what you want to do in your break time, plan your breaks carefully. For example, you could meet up with a friend for lunch one day or go for a run with friends the next day. Check your calendar in the morning and plan your breaks, as if you were planning a meeting.

Please have a look at the Coopers Teams' suggestion for your perfect lunch break:

Exercise (15mins)
Are you sitting at your desk the whole day? Why don't you use your break to keep you fit? Even 15 minutes a day could make a change. We've put some suggestions for a quick workout in the picture below.

Distraction (6mins)
Focus on something different. Use this break to clear your head. Why don't you have a look at our latest Coopers blog posts? We look forward to your feedback!

Food (18mins)
Even if you've got a tight schedule, please make sure to sit down for a proper meal at some point. And you could prepare some healthy snacks to keep you going through the day.

Fun (18mins)
At some companies, employees can play table football in their coffee area, or they offer similar activities. There's nothing stopping you kicking a ball in the nearest park or having a five-minute ball game in the office either.

We hope this blog post will inspire you to plan your breaks and use them well, so that you can increase your productivity at work. Have fun!
