Pride Month at Coopers: We stand for Diversity and Tolerance

It's June. It's Pride Month.

We already wrote about it last year and would like to express our values again this year: Coopers stands for openness, equality and diversity. We see diversity in all regards as a strength - every day, every month, all year round.

The words of our colleagues reflect that. In preparing this post, we spoke with a few of them and would like to share the following statements:

"We have learned and understood as an organization how powerful language is. Coopers takes an exemplary approach to inclusive language - both internally and externally. All of our job ads are gender-neutral and inclusive, as are our internal office communications. It's rare to see that, and it shows me that Coopers really stands behind these values."

"There is not much I can say about this, for me it is not even a topic, it is normality. I was in the beauty industry for a long time, where tolerance regarding sexual orientation, origin et cetera was common sense. That makes me feel all the more comfortable at Coopers, who put people first instead of judging them."

"When you look at the Coopers team, you quickly realize: Coopers doesn't just talk about openness and diversity, Coopers lives these values. People from a wide variety of cultural, social as well as professional backgrounds work here. Without a gender quota, there are more women than men, including in managerial roles. In addition, more than 15 languages are spoken. The overall mindset is simply very open and modern."

That hits the nail on the head. The Coopers Family is a thoroughly diverse team. Openness and diversity are among our core values. We pay attention to this not only in our internal recruiting processes, but also in our day-to-day business of recruiting for our clients.

An important aspect for us is the awareness that one is unintentionally subject to stereotypical thinking, so-called unconscious biases. We always strive to actively avoid these, for example through structured and thus comparable interview processes.

We assess candidates in terms of their skills, expertise and soft skills, regardless of personal factors. This leads to much more efficient hiring and contributes to an inclusive and diverse work environment. The benefits of that are not just something we know in theory, but something we get to experience every day. At Coopers, you truly are #ingoodcompany.

And the best part: you too could soon be a Coopers. #wearehiring - and we welcome applications from the LGBTQIA+ community. Find an overview of all internal jobs at Coopers here.
