Coopers IT Pro­cure­ment Day 2024

The first Coopers IT Procurement Day took place on June 20th, 2024 – an event from buyers for buyers.  

This conference aimed to offer IT procurement professionals a platform to network and discuss topics related to the procurement of IT services and IT professional services. 

By the beginning of June, the event was already fully booked. We decided to limit the number of participants to ensure substantial interactions. This paid off, as there were numerous questions and a lot of interaction from all participants after each presentation. Topics included the following:  

  • Negotiation strategies and use of new technologies in procurement 
  • Challenges & solutions in the design of service contracts 
  • Procurement strategies for IT outsourcing 
  • Use cases external workforce from practice

During coffee breaks, over lunch and at the following apero in front of the 25hours Hotel Zurich West, the conversations continued well into the evening.

We are delighted that many participants stayed so late and joined us in a nearby bar later on. The entire day was characterized by an open, informal atmosphere. The feedback on-site was already positive, and the results of the feedback forms support this:

Overall, the IT Procurement Day was rated with 4.63 out of 5 points (1 = miserable, 5 = excellent). Both speakers and participants were extremely satisfied with the location (4.05), the organisation (4.74) and the "just right" scope of the agenda.

94.7% stated that they had made valuable new contacts and would like to take part again next year.
