Legal Assistant
m/f/d, Basel-Stadt
For our client, a international pharma company, based in Basel, we are currently looking for an experienced Legal Assistant (m/f/d) identifying legal, financial and business contract issues in german and english. Besides from legal research, you will be responding to contract requests, cost and records management and client counseling on contract issues and company policies based on your swiss legal experience.
start date: 14/10/2024
end date: 13/10/2025
workload: 100% in a 40 h/week
location: Basel (CH), with 4-5 days onsite
work model: Contracting
Your Responsibilities:
- Legal support to contracts – 3rd party and intercompany agreements for the companies Swiss Entities, including drafting, reviewing, proofreading as may be required
- Support on various legal documents such as e.g. CDAs, PoAs, UBO, confirmations and authorizations, certificates, protocols
- Maintains respective documentation including proper organization of files
- Dealing and reliable handling of notarization process
- Proof reading of legal documents
- Support and execution of special projects
- Manages the document flow with involved stakeholders and arrange for signature of documents
- Ensures contract lifecycle management and maintains the contract database inc. physical & digital archiving system
- Supports optimization of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes
- Maintains the overview of timelines and deliverables in all assigned projects
- Acts as a team member for legal projects
- Informs, communicates, advises and supports the team and associates from outside the team on processes, guidelines and services that are specific to the department
Your Profile:
- Paralegal Certificate or Commercial training (e.g. Swiss Association of Commercial Employees, business school) or equivalent (e.g. Swiss Matura plus business experience or Bachelor (preference Legal)
- Experience as “Paralegal” or „Administrative Specialist“ with paralegal experience or similar
- Basic legal training. (Paralegal course or acquired on the job)
- Excellent in English and German (Knowledge of other languages advantageous)
- Familiar with swiss legal terminology
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on what matters and adjusts the form of communication depending on the stakeholders
- Great organizational skills by organizing own work, activities, and tasks as well as activities within the department/ team in an effective, transparent, and professional manner
- Pro-active and curious personalitly that seeks to improve things
- Reliable and loyal team-player
