Another workation sensation from our colleague Anna Maria Diomatari, who works as Talent Acquisition Consultant in our MSP team. Greece is, once again in 2024, a very popular holiday destination. Lucky for Anna that she has Greece roots as well as family and a house waiting for her over there.

For this reason, she regularly travels to the Hellenic Republic. Good for her, that Coopers offers workation as an employee benefit, so she can stay longer and combine work with free time – just like we Giulia, about who’s experience in sunny Spain we reported last week.

We talked to Anna, too and are happy to share her thoughts on workation. Let’s go:

Anna, where did you spend your workation?
I have gone on workation a few times already. I usually visit Greece, where my family and friends reside. I greatly appreciate the opportunity that workation offers, primarily because it allows me to spend quality time with them.

How long did you stay?
Usually, I stay for a week combining additional holidays.

Next to seeing your family, of course, what is the biggest benefit for you?
Enjoying amazing seafood for my lunch break is a delight, but having the chance to see my family and friends after work holds the highest value for me.

What challenges did you encounter?
No challenges at all, luckily.

Would (or will) you do it again?
Absolutely! It is an exceptionally comfortable and motivating concept. Anyone who has the opportunity should take advantage of it, provided their personal circumstances allow.

What would you do differently – or in other words: What advice do you have for everyone planning a workation?
Before embarking on workation, it's essential to ensure that the apartment offers a quiet environment and is well-equipped with a reliable internet connection. In my personal experience, spending my workation at my house in Greece has proven ideal. Such preparations help minimize potential disruptions and create a great environment for productivity during workation.

We are so happy to collect and report about the adventures our Coopers get to experience. It reflects the trusting culture at Coopers and how much Coopers, as an employer, values individuality as well as personal development for its personnel. A huge thank you at this point for this opportunity.

How about you? Did you combine work and vacation, yet? Would be great to hear your stories.  office@coopers.ch
