As a partner and Swiss representative of the international executive search network Talentor International, we once again had the opportunity to take part in the annual summit for our partners from all over the world in 2024. This year we went to the Polish capital Warsaw - many thanks to Solid Bridge for their hospitality. Two intensive days focused on trends and challenges in recruiting.

Day 1: Internals, Workshops, and Artificial Intelligence

As always, we started with a fun game to get to know each other and connect. In line with this, new partner agencies then introduced themselves. Group workshops focused on the topics of project management, candidate care, and sales. The afternoon was all about artificial intelligence. Our Dutch partner Independent Recruiters shared exciting insights into AI topics from their own company with us and we had a speaker from the Onex Group, Dawid Detko, who introduced us to Microsoft Copilot. There were also two workshops on marketing and research as well as sales.

Lastly, the various practice groups came together to talk about their current topics - finally in person again instead of just on screen.

A joint dinner and one or two drinks completed the first day. As always, the atmosphere in the Talentor Family is cheerful and relaxed.

Day 2: Traditional Dance, Guest Speaker and Young Talents

And this is how we continued the second day: Leszek and Rafal organized dancers who taught us a Polish folk dance to kick things off. Wide awake and motivated, we started the Talentor Cooperation Award ceremony – congratulations to Independent Recruiters. Next came the keynote speech by Sid Barnes from the U.K. on business development and sales. After lunch, the focus was on Talentor topics, as well as the Leaders For Tomorrow program - more on this in the following section.

As in previous years, there was also room for bilateral discussions again this time. These are extremely valuable, as they enable us to strengthen our partnerships and drive projects forward at an international level.

Leadership Program – Leaders for Tomorrow

2023 marked the launch of the Leaders for Tomorrow leadership program. It offers partner agencies the opportunity to send employees to prepare them for future leadership roles. Last year, Coopers was represented by Jessica Arber and Nevin Schuler – we shared their experience. This year, three Coopers members are participating: Joëlle Huber, Dominic Saxer, and Mark Thommen. They arrived one evening earlier for the kickoff. Here are their first impressions:

Joëlle: We were warmly welcomed by Gertraud, Sabine, and Hana. It was a great international exchange, from Holland to Austria, all the way to Ukraine. The insights into organizational structures, sales, and leadership styles were particularly interesting for me. I am looking forward to the program and the guidance from Talentor.

Dominic: The first impressions and encounters in Warsaw were consistently positive and we were able to learn a lot from each other. It was very exciting to hear how our international partners are organized, how their processes work, and what challenges they are currently facing.

Mark: The Talentor L4T program provides great opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing. It was a pleasure to meet the other participants and hear their exciting approaches. I look forward to the rest of the program and am excited to see the results of the many interesting topics.
