Data Engineer - Python & SQL

m/w/d, Zürich Grossraum

For our client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Data Engineer - Python & SQL. Fully remote within Serbia, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland possible. 

Your Tasks:

  • Help clients make their data business- or operations-ready
  • Design, test, and monitor distributed data processing pipelines
  • Work closely with data scientists in the creation of machine learning models
  • Perform performance and cost estimations for various use cases
  • Develop and create meaningful dashboards to visualize processed data

 

Your Profil:

  • Several years of experience as a data engineer
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience or a strong interest in technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Airflow, RDBMS, NoSQL, DevOps, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge in Java or .NET
  • Good understanding of large public cloud environments such as AWS, MS Azure, or Google’s GCP
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, German language skills are a plus
