Linux SW and HW Engineer/Expert

For our Medical Devices client in Zug, we are currently looking for a Linux SW and HW Engineer/Expert

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Medical Instrument / Software Development Projects with technical knowhow
  • Development and maintenance of in-house linux distribution and open source tools
  • Linux Software and Hardware troubleshooting, debugging and root-cause analysis

 

Must Haves:

  • Master in SW Engineering or other degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (min. 3 years)
  • More than 5 years of experience as a Senior Linux Software Engineer
  • More than 5 years experience in developing customized Linux distributions 
  • More than 5 years experience with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu) 
  • Experience in Embedded Software, Hardware Drivers, ARM Platform, hardware / software integration 
  • Development experience with C/C++, Python, Go, Web technologies, Shell Scripting
  • Strong knowledge in Operating Systems and Software building, testing, packaging 
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude, quick learner, enjoying problem solving, ability to work independently
  • English: advanced, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

    Nice to Have:
  • Experience in Virtualization / Container technologies, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Debian package building
