Cells Assay Associate/Scientist

m/w/d, Basel-Stadt

We’re offering a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving team at the forefront of drug discovery. As part of a highly collaborative group of cellular assay scientists and automation experts, you’ll play a hands-on role in designing and executing cutting-edge cellular assays that directly impact high-throughput screening and compound profiling.

This is a perfect fit for someone early in their scientific career who thrives in a lab-based environment and is looking to expand their skills with top-tier technologies and a dynamic team.

Location: Basel (Onsite – Lab Based)
Start Date: June 1st – August 1st (Latest)
Duration: 6-month maternity cover
Workload: 100%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and optimize cellular assays for hit characterization and compound profiling

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless assay development

  • Support innovation and smooth transition from assay design to high-throughput screening

Must-Haves:

  • Apprenticeship, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a life sciences field

  • 1–3 years of lab experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry

  • Hands-on expertise in cellular assay techniques: cell culture, multiwell plate assay design, optimization, and troubleshooting
